Convert HEIC to PNG

Turn iPhone photos into PNG files for editing and design work.

How do I convert HEIC to PNG?

Open FilesAll's HEIC to PNG tool, add your HEIC photos and press Convert. Each photo becomes a PNG that opens in editing apps, on Windows and on websites. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device, so your photos are never uploaded, and location data is removed unless you choose to keep it.

How to convert HEIC to PNG in 3 steps

  1. Add your photos

Press Choose files, or drag your HEIC photos onto the page. You can add many at once.

  2. Check the options

PNG is already picked as the format. You can choose to keep the photo's location data if you want.

  3. Download your PNGs

Press Download for each photo, or Download all to save them together in one ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose PNG or JPG?

Choose PNG if you plan to edit the photo again and want no further quality loss. Choose JPG if you just want to share or send it, because JPG files are much smaller.

Why is the PNG so much larger than the HEIC?

HEIC stores photos very compactly. PNG keeps every detail without squeezing the photo, so the file is often several times larger. That is normal.

What happens with Live Photos?

FilesAll uses the main still image from a Live Photo or burst and turns it into one PNG.

Will my photos be the right way up?

Yes. FilesAll keeps each photo's correct rotation, so pictures taken sideways or upside down look the same as on your phone.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default. It keeps photos small, but many Windows computers, older Android phones and websites cannot open it.

Is FilesAll free?

Yes. You can use FilesAll free every day without signing up, and the tool shows how many free files you have left today. A free account gives you more each day, and Pro removes the daily limit.

Do I need to install anything?

No. FilesAll works in the web browser you already have, on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install, and you do not need an account to start.

Are my files uploaded?

No. FilesAll does all the work inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our servers or anyone else's, and they disappear when you close the tab.

Want to check for yourself? Your browser's developer tools list every request this page makes. None of them carries your file.
