Start over?

You have files you have not downloaded yet. They will be cleared from this page.

This PDF has a password

The file is unlocked on this device. Your password is never sent anywhere. The smaller file keeps the same password.

How do I reduce the file size of a JPG?

Open FilesAll's Compress JPG tool, add your JPG photos and press Compress. FilesAll saves each photo again in a smaller form and shows the size before and after. You can also set a maximum width to shrink large photos. Everything runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.

How to compress JPG images in 3 steps

  1. Add your JPGs

Press Choose files, or drag your JPG photos onto the page. You can add many at once.

  2. Check the options

The Balanced level is already picked. If your photos are very large, you can also set a maximum width.

  3. Download your smaller JPGs

Press Download for each photo, or Download all to save them together in one ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photos look worse?

At the Balanced level the difference is very hard to see at normal size. The photo is saved again more efficiently, so the file gets smaller while it still looks the same to most people.

Can I make a photo smaller in pixels too?

Yes. Set a maximum width and FilesAll shrinks wider photos to that size while keeping their shape. This helps a lot with large camera photos.

Is the photo's location removed?

Yes, by default. Photos often record where they were taken. FilesAll removes that hidden location data when it compresses, and tells you it did.

Why did one of my photos not get smaller?

Some JPGs are already saved as small as they can go. If compressing would not save space, FilesAll keeps your original photo and tells you.

My iPhone photos are HEIC. Can I compress them?

Yes. Use Compress images, which takes HEIC, JPG and PNG together and saves HEIC photos as smaller JPGs. To change the format without compressing, use HEIC to JPG.

Is FilesAll free?

Yes. You can use FilesAll free every day without signing up, and the tool shows how many free files you have left today. A free account gives you more each day, and Pro removes the daily limit.

Do I need to install anything?

No. FilesAll works in the web browser you already have, on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install, and you do not need an account to start.

Are my files uploaded?

No. FilesAll does all the work inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our servers or anyone else's, and they disappear when you close the tab.

Want to check for yourself? Your browser's developer tools list every request this page makes. None of them carries your file.
