Will converting to PNG improve the quality?
No. PNG keeps the image exactly as it is now, but it cannot bring back detail the JPG already lost. The picture looks the same as the original.
Will the background become transparent?
No. Converting only changes the file format. The background stays as it is in the JPG.
Why is my PNG bigger than the JPG?
PNG stores every pixel without squeezing the image, so photos saved as PNG are usually larger. If size matters, keep the JPG.
When should I use PNG instead of JPG?
